Abstract

LoRa technology is extensively utilized in the Internet of Things world. It allows a transmission of a low volume of data through small wireless devices. The principle of LoRa networks is to transmit data over the air from sensors with low transmission range, for about tens of kilometers. Those sensors are not expected to be powered by electricity, and they are powered by batteries. We understand that visits to hospitals cannot be eliminated and that visits for full examinations were necessary, but technological progress nowadays could reduce the burden on hospitals thanks to remote controls and treatments in homes using those wireless sensors. So, the use of LoRaWAN protocol could greatly make diagnostic of patients more easily by transmitting data between doctors and patients in a real time manner. The aim of this work is to evaluate the performance of a network that contains numerous mobile sensors. Those sensors connect the doctors, nurse, and patient through a reliable and secure wireless network. Here, we want to evaluate various factors of LoRaWAN protocol that have a big effect on power consumption and data transmission delay. Moreover, our LoRa-based networking implementation, based on software simulations, appears to be an option that allows for a robust, reliable, and lower overall cost IoT deployment and low bandwidth requirements. With LoRa, we can achieve similar or better link quality to IEEE 802.15.4, with higher data rate and lower costs.

Tehnologia LoRa este utilizată pe scară largă în lumea internetului obiectelor. Aceasta permite transmiterea unui volum redus de date prin intermediul unor dispozitive wireless mici. Principiul rețelelor LoRa este de a transmite date prin aer de la senzori cu rază de transmisie redusă, de aproximativ zeci de kilometri. Nu este de așteptat ca acești senzori să fie alimentați cu energie electrică și sunt alimentați de baterii. Înțelegem că vizitele în spitale nu pot fi eliminate și că vizitele pentru examinări complete au fost necesare, dar progresul tehnologic din zilele noastre ar putea reduce povara asupra spitalelor datorită controalelor de la distanță și tratamentelor la domiciliu folosind acești senzori wireless. Astfel, utilizarea protocolului LoRaWAN ar putea facilita în mare măsură diagnosticarea pacienților prin transmiterea datelor între medici și pacienți în timp real. Scopul acestei lucrări este de a evalua performanța unei rețele care conține numeroși senzori mobili. Acești senzori conectează medicii, asistenta medicală și pacientul prin intermediul unei rețele wireless fiabile și sigure. Aici, dorim să evaluăm diverși factori ai protocolului LoRaWAN care au un efect important asupra consumului de energie și asupra întârzierii transmiterii datelor. În plus, implementarea noastră de rețea bazată pe LoRa, bazată pe simulări software, pare a fi o opțiune care permite o implementare IoT robustă, fiabilă și cu costuri generale mai mici și cerințe reduse de lățime de bandă. Cu LoRa, putem obține o calitate a legăturii similară sau mai bună decât IEEE 802.15.4, cu o rată de date mai mare și costuri mai mici.

Hi the odyssey platform is new to me, don’t know how it open or copy links & serch for them with an iPhone. It doesn’t work by touching on the links with the odyssey app. The links was accessible a few weeks back when I was still using a search engine Qwant, but that got forked up somehow, so I finally downloaded the odyssey app which I still don’t want on my phone.
